Blood pressure & Cholesterol control on cycle..........

OK Gents.........I'd like to raise some awareness of the dangers of high blood pressure & cholesterol while on cycle.

These sneaky elements of our body are not called "the silent killer" for no reason. It is well known that AAS can raise your BP & Cholesterol to dangerous levels, what a lot of people don't know is what to do about it, now I'm am in no way claiming that the elevated BP & / or Cholesterol brought on by AAS will kill you on the spot.......these dirty dogs like to build up a full head of steam over an extended period of time & then mount a surprise attack with full force a 100 mile an hour freight train, maintaining proper control of these elements from day one is the only way to avoid a potential life changing or even life ending disaster. These factors are all too often over looked, most users stop at Estrogen control & don't even bother with BP & Cholesterol control.

I'd like to change that. I would like to collect any & all available knowledge & info of techniques, methods & even ideas or theories of how to control these dangerously overlooked factors of cycling, & when we give cycle advice I would like to see blood pressure & cholesterol control advice offered as well as Estrogen & Prolactin please. This is serious business.

Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

I'll start with my favorite & proven methods:

For Cholesterol I utilize oats, garlic & fish oils. 1 cup of oats per day, 2 cloves of garlic per day (you can use the pills if you can't get past the smell of raw garlic) & 900 mg of omega-3 fatty acids + 100 mg of Co Q-10, this all comes in a single triple strength fish oil pill found at any vitamin store. Aside from supplementation, I stay away from high cholesterol foods.

For Blood Pressure, I use use garlic, a diet low in simple carbs & sodium, & if necessary I use a Vasodialator, like Cialis or Viagra, there are many more Vaso's out there but these are the one's I have found to be most effective.

Side note: Garlic will not lower blood pressure but is very effective in stabilizing your current BP, so in other words, if you control your BP level through diet & / or Vasodialator, garlic will assist in keeping it "in the green".

This is just the tip of the iceberg Gents., please feel free to add your knowledge & ask any questions.

    I have high both.

Potassium and cayenne pepper was my method of lowering it.

Seriously. I forget the study and I'm on the cardio bike so I'm not going looking for it but maybe someone else can.

I use cialis as well 5mg twice daily for BP. If never had an issue with my cholesterol. Primarily because I have a tendency to not eat much meat that is extremely high in saturated fat, not saying I don't love beef tho. And have it from time to time. Also I am on a high fat diet that consists of salmon, walnuts, almonds and macadamia an walnut oils, all of which are high in omegas which helps keep the bad cholesterol down.

Is there a preferred time of day for the CoQ-10? I.E., first thing in the morning...before bed...or does it really matter? Thanks.

I've had hypertension sine I was 15 years old. And my lipids have been a wreck. They got to over 400 and ibhave some feedback.
Natural made puts out a product called Cholesteroff. That, plus supplementing it with CoQ10 and 4 grams of fish oil now has my lipid panel at 200. Not bad for 3 months!
I've neen on bp meds for 15 years.

You'll never believe that mine work above optimal level. Like 30% stronger kidneys than the average healthy male

Really good. My creatine kinase was high, and the range it was compared to the rage it was supposed to be freaked me out. After getting some help deciphering the blood work, it was completely normal for anyone who lifts. My doctor even said it would be fine. I was taking 5 grams of creatine monohydrate at the time, so I just stopped creatine, and have not used it since. I know there is some benefit to using it, but as much meat as I eat and AAS use, Id rather not use it until I find some hard research on the benefits. I know there is extensive studies, but for me, it is just spending money on anothr supplement that I could buy more food with. I used to fall for the suppkement gimmicks, but the only thing I buy anymore are protien powder and some essential vitamins(I prefer not to use a multi).

So in a nutshell, kindney function is great! The range I was in is common for anyone who is actively training.

Last thing Admin..... 2 months ago I wore a houlter monitor over a weekend, got an ultrasound of my heart, and had a renal ultrasound. My cardiologist tried to find the root cause of my hypertension. Ended up it is just hereditary. He said it usually shows up later in life, and he was concerned about a blockage in my kidneys. Absolutely nothing was there.

I've never experienced or read anything that proves the timing of supplement intake makes a difference..........

I agree. Some of the higher volume supps I split through the day, but most are taken at breakfast.

Thank you gentlemen. I didn't thing there would be any real significance to timing. I was thinking of like SERM dosage, specifically Clomid. Some people like to take that when retiring at night to help elevate the jittery, nervousness some people experience with Clomid...especially in the front loading week. Should have known an OTC sup wouldn't be that potent to really matter.

I tended to take my PCT drugs before bed, but I don't believe it makes a lot of difference.
