  • Peptide efficiency in older Athletes

Firstly, if this post is inappropriate or has been covered elsewhere (I have read most of this excellent forum) Admin please delete. I am a newbie here.

As a 52 year old competitor I was wondering is there any information or first hand knowledge of effectiveness of GHRP-6 and CJC 1295 with DAC in older men like me. As I understand it, with the help of the excellent information available on here, these peptides act on the body's own pituary gland causing pulses of Gh to be released.

My guess would be as an old 'un I produce very little Gh naturally these days. I have never administered exogenous HGH, but would go that route if peptides don't work so well in older folks. Just as an aside, back in my former competing days in the 1990's I don't think these peptides even existed! so of course I am very interested in what competitors are using to good effect today.

I am currently off season training, totally clean at present, but about to start a bulking cycle as I have been off gear since May, after my last competition. I didn't do any Post Comp/cycle Therapy as I am not sure I needed it. My usual off season cycle is Test 400 (Test Enanthate, Cypionate, Propionate blend) 3X 1ml jabs a week. As I hope to compete again early next year, I thought i would ask a bit of advice about peptides to accompany my usual bulking regime.

My stats are on the new members thread, I currently weigh 91Kg (200lbs) at 5'8 with a lean physique. I don't know what my Bodyfat is, but still got abs and good vascularity. My goal would be to use Test 400 for eight weeks (with peptides if they work) and pack some meat on my weak areas. Thanks for reading, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Have you used HGH before?

I liked peptides a lot, but the 3x per day injections get boring fast.

100mcg of CJC 1295 w/o DAC (Mod) with GHRP-6 100mcg was the cycle I did. Injecting every morning, PWO and before bed.

Hunger from the GHRP-6 was incredible.

Thanks admin for the feedback. I haven't used HGH before, and from what I have read and what the guys say at the gym- to do it properly for long enough- is cost prohibitive for me. So peptides appear to be a good alternative, and affordable in comparison.

The big 'IF' here, is do they work on someone who is older.

I don't see why they wouldnt. Our bodies produce these peptides anyways, or at one time (for the most part). Just like with GH use, you add to what is depleted with age. I think there would be great benefit from it. I'm about to dabble in them myself. From the years of stories I've seen and heard, I don't think they are as good as GH, but a close second. And with all the counterfeit GH, I'd choose peps over it anyways.

Thanks Warmouth, that's what I was thinking.

I'll do some more research, get my hands on the items needed, and give them a go. I'll keep you posted on how it goes!

Make sure you do because I love following along with other peoples journeys! Plus, Admin has vast knowledge with peps. I think he has tinkered with them for years and will be able to tell you exactly what to try for your goals. Dan has some interesting stories with them too. And if Blergs happens to see this, I think peps are all he uses these days. Another benefit from them is that you don't have to worry about cycle duration as much, nor natural hormone suppression. Also, they make for a great "bridging" compound between cycles.

Ok, I've got my next array sorted, hopefully it'll be here by the weekend.

I'm going to try GHRP-6 and GRF 1-29 (CJC 1295 without DAC) 100mcg daily, backed up with test prop 100mg daily. The four jabs a day will become a challenge real fast, and I will certainly feel like a pin-cushion for sure. I'm gonna do the peptides sub-Q with insulin pins (thrice daily) and the test prop IM 1 ml Every day as normal.

If anyone is interested, or it is helpful to others - I'll do a weekly log of progress on another thread. Please let me know. Thanks

Oh I don't envy all those injections! Lol. Please do a log. I'm very interested. It would be beneficial to all of us, as well as the lurkers and guests. I'm all about logs! Thanks man!

Well bad news chaps, been injecting 100mcg of GHRP-6 and MOD GRF 1-29 (CJC 1295 W/O Dac) three times daily, AM, Mid afternoon, and just before bed. I lasted just four days.

The Sub Q injections were just too painful. Despite being a tiny amount injected in the area around my naval with insulin pins - it felt like a wasp sting (which I could cope with, just) then an immediate inflammation and a hard painful lump under the skin about the size of a pea. These little lumps took anywhere from 24 - 36 hrs to dissipate.

I've stopped today, due to too much discomfort. Either the stuff I have is garbage (given high praise by other lifters in my gym- however) or I seem to react badly to this type of water based injection.

Worth a go, but not for me !

Try another peptide supplier. Use a company that makes their peptides in the USA, not China.

I have had bad reactions to peptides too, but by using other companies found some that are good. I had an allergic reaction once and came out with red welts all over my body for a few hours like hives.
