  • Protein intake on cycle!

    Guys,

    Goal is lean bulk

    Is it necessary to bump protein up to 2g per lb of body weight on cycle?

    Is it 2g per pound of lbm or total body weight

    Mine is set at 1.2 per lb of total weight at the mo allowing plenty of carbs

    Macros are p230 c400 f74 3200Kcal

    600 sustanon/400ml deca p/w for 16 weeks

    185lbs
    31yrs
    13%bf
    5'9"

    Always! Protien is the building block of whatever you are trying to accomplish. When I do a lean bulk, as I am now, I use 2 grams per pound of body weight, then an even split of carbs and fats. The carbs and fats may not work for you as it does for me (as we're all different) but the protien will.

      So 2 g per lb of total body weight for a lean bulk is good. On cycle.

      How would you adjust for a cut, assuming you were on a cycle to aid in the cut?

      Would you keep protein the same and reduce fats/carbs I presume?

      Am I right in thinking 2g per lb
      Is the gold standard for on a cycle?

      One more question,

      When cruising on trt dose would you reduce protein at all seeing as you were off cycle/not blasting.

      Just interested how much diet differs between naturals and AAS use.

          I like to keep protien as high as my stomach can take. If I'm on a cruise, I'll lower to 1-1.5 grams. If I'm on a blast, I want to build muscle (even on a cut), so I increase the protien and lower the carbs and fats. There is no need in blasting if you don't want to build muscle. If you strictly want to cut and no muscle gain, I'd stay on a cruise and use a thermogenic.
