  • The age old Insulin question

    Pre and post.

There is SO much controversial information out there about this it drives me nuts. Some people say you I take it pre and post, some people say pre is useless, other people say post is useless...

I personally believe, and follow this:

No simple carbs for 5 hours before training, I drink a sports drink with plenty (45g) sugar during my workout to effectively use my natural insulin spike, then take a shot (4iu) post workout... I feel it's effective and essential to not constantly take it pre and post since, like any other gland or organ, if your body gets used to something being GIVEN... It'll reduce or stop it's output.

    DIABEETUS.

    What so you all think?

Why would u take it pre? I'm no expert on insulin by any means, but the only thing I can think of is it would push "energy" into the muscles? Idk? I do know that I wouldn't want to be cause it would stop lipolysis

Lmao that's what I'm saying... Some people say taking it pre and post is the ONLY WAY! You know...
Bro scientists. They say "because insulin is a shuttle for nutrients and stuff it floods the muscle and makes a bigger pump' which I think is horse shit because the tiny digested protein particles and creatine are not gunna form together to make a lump and inflate your muscle....

I've heard both pre and post. I know a person who takes it pre breakfsst with all his supps, then pre workout 6-8hours later. I have no idea. He takes 2 units per.

Weird since GH secretion levels are highest in morning and carbs apparently blunt that. So a high insulin dose requires carbs obviously. Kinda working against himself.

You and I already discussed what I'm going to mention Mini-G, but maybe it'll be use to others.

For when to use slin, I would think that anytime you would want to get a natty insulin spike is a time you could use it. Pre or post workout, really. I know I always get sugars at those times even without slin for a natty insulin spike, so why not an even bigger one?
