    Hannibal TV series?

Anyone been following this? I've always been a huge fan of the 'Hannibal' series of movies and books (Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, etc.) and someone recently told me about the Hannibal TV series that recently launched about a little over a year ago (April 2013) and has already gone through 2 seasons. Heard good things about it and am going to check it out. Hannibal Lecter is played by Mads Mikkelsen (the actor who played the villain 'Le Chiffre' in the James Bond film Casino Royale).

Only series I've ever watched were 24 and Breaking Bad.

I tend to get nothing done if I get into a series!

Me too, that's why I've picked this one as my primary interest. I never got into Breaking Bad even though it looks amazing and I'd love to watch it through and through. I'll look into Hannibal instead, as it launched only recently and is only 2 seasons in, so there isn't anywhere near as much to sit through and catch up on as Breaking Bad.

I watched it and I have to say it's not bad. Kept me entertained and guessing. I don't think there's to be a season 3 though.

I got a hold of both seasons and just finished watching season 1. I like it so far, but I have some bones to pick with it, I don't like how it deviates a bit too much from the rest of the movies with Will's character development, but I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it. Mads Mikkelsen plays a good Hannibal, but I think Anthony Hopkins completely spoiled us all with his great performance. Nevertheless, in order to try and avoid feeling spoiled, I like to look at Mikkelsen's portrayal of Hannibal's as a different style, which is done well when judged for what it is rather than compared to Hopkins' portrayal.

Going to start watching season 2 now, which I've heard and read is better than season 1.
