So I missed lunch today due to work. I got off at 5ish and was going to cook me and the wife a great steak dinner and loads of asparagus after our workout. I was going to really get it today in the gym. It was leg day and I was pumped and primed to absolutely break them down to jello. Well, since I got off later than expected, I figured Id be at the gym around 6, dinner around 730-8. I had plenty to time to eat something and wear it off at the gym.
Well, my work van got stuck in some mud on the jobsite. We finally got it out and it was even later. I figured we would just go out and get a steak from the steakhouse now after the intene leg workout we were about to do. I decided since I missed lunch would just grab a donut on the way home and finish off a protien shake I had prepared in my cooler. Guess what, that donut turned into 3, with a pint of whole milk! At first I thought it would be perfectly fine (and it would have been because I needed the carbs since I hadnt ate since 7am and I was feeling a little hypoglycemic).
I finally get home, ready to go kill it at the gym. Get dressed, took some cialis, some caffine, and the freaking gym was closed! Close at 8pm on fridays of all things. Close at 2pm tommorrow and closed all day sunday. Yes, I need a new gym.
We were both starving by this point anyways, and we could have worked something else at home since we have a pretty big gym here, but we didnt. She was craving some eggs and I just wanted food. She picked Ihop.......oh my gosh! Even thier eggs have pancake batter in them. I didnt want any carbs since I screwed the pooch with those 3 donuts, but there wasnt much of a choice. I mean what, am I going to eat fruit and "Smart and Fit" pancakes??? Nope, I have a stack of regular pancakes, loaded with maple syrup. This has been one of the worst eating days Ive had in months. I feel sick and bloated. Disgusted at myself for this. Not recommended!
To end on a good note, I drank water with the pancakes, and only had 1 McDs sweet tea today Also, I had a good little tent pitched from the pre workout cialis during the whole meal.
