Someone close to me has been trying to find a Toronto lawyer for a custody matter, and the search has become surprisingly confusing. Some directories list dozens of names, while firm websites provide more background. What would you trust more when narrowing down candidates, a law firm's site, a lawyer's own website, or a professional directory?

A friend recently faced the same dilemma while looking for a Toronto custody lawyer. Directories helped create a broad list, but they didn’t always explain who actually handles custody matters regularly. We then checked individual and firm websites, looked for specific experience, recent content, consultation details, and clear contact information. I’d use all three sources, but trust a lawyer’s own site most for understanding their approach. Brian Ludmer attorney site is a useful example to review.
