Can you imagine how peaceful it would be...Wow.

You don't get much closer to nature than living off the land for months with no one around.

    Amazing story!

Yeah some areas have higher numbers than others. Some of the mountain rivers I've fished have been teeming with fish but no monsters, other areas with low numbers of fish but there are some submarines in amongst them.

A few years ago I was trapping Possums in the mountains for their pelts. I use to be dropped off by a chopper and it would return 3 months later to pick myself and all the pelts. I use to hunt deer and pigs for meat, catch trout, salmon and eels for my fish intake and eat several types of vegetation for my greens. 99% of the trips in I did I wouldn't see another person for the whole 12 weeks.

One of the blocks had a nice big river, On this particular day I went fishing the river was slightly dirty after a bit of rain It hadn't rained for several weeks and the fish were hungry. I played the fish for about 40 minutes before landing it.

My best brown caught was just under 15 pounds on a beadhead Hare 'n' Copper. The biggest brown caught in NZ was 42 pounds, 1 ounce!!

    Hi Admin

Thanks for the welcome, yes it was Google.

Yep that's me in the avatar, Thanks for the compliment. I've got a lot of work to do to get myself back up to where I was before the surgery.

I was surfing the net when I came across Steroidal.com I had a look through the forum and was impressed with the knowledge on here.

I'm a 49 year old guy from New Zealand. I haven't been able to train for about 12 months due to spinal surgery. For the last 2 months I have been doing pilates to build up my core strength. I have got the all clear to get back into training next week

In regards to gear use I keep my cycles fairly light so they can assist me in the gym but I also stay healthy.

Other interests of mine are surfing, sky diving and free dive spear fishing.

I look forward to becoming part of Steroidal.com and hopefully being able to contribute to the forum.

    Hei koa (see you later)
