Hi everybody, my name is Shawn and I'm 31. I'm from Maine but I have been living in working in Saudi Arabia for the past 5 months. It really isn't as bad as you might think! One of the best parts about my new job here is that I have medical insurance. So, I took advantage of that and had my testosterone level checked. It was extremely low. I think my doctor said it was a 6.
Here is my testosterone supplement usage story so far: the doctor prescribed me some useless capsule that I didn't get anything from. I got fed up and talked to one of my friends here at the gym. He hooked me up with a box of Cypionax. It worked great! I was was injecting myself with 200mg every 6 days. I gained about 8 lbs of skeletal muscle mass in just over a month with no fat gain! I was so happy. I had been this bigger than this before, but it always came with lots of fat gain. When I would try to lose the fat, I always lost the muscle as well. These were the results I had always wanted. I was 6' tall and weighed 177 lbs with 8% body fat. For me, this was close to ideal. I know that some of you might read this and think that that is scrawny, but I felt like I looked really good!!!!
Then, problems started. As I neared the end of my supply, I needed to find more but my friend had gone back to America for a while. So, I decided to go to the hospital's endocrinologist and tell him what I had been taking. After explaining how I wanted my low T diagnoses to be taken seriously and that the self medication I had done was really effective for me, I was able to get a prescription for a Sustanon 250 injection once per week. I thought the problem was solved! I'm all set and my life has changed! But nope...
After being on only the Sustanon 250 for a month now, my muscle has dropped by about 3 lbs and my fat has gone up to 12%. I feel like I'm on the path to end up right back where I started. Now I'm wondering, what's up with Sustanon 250? Is it just not as powerful as the Cypionax?? This sucks! What should I do?
I also have other questions about how long I should be staying on this stuff for. My doctor doesn't know much about this stuff. He had to look up everything he prescribed for me on the spot and it seemed like it was the first time he had ever dealt with it. I'm wondering if I am damaging my own ability to produce T but I don't want to suggest that to him for fear that he with lose confidence in what he is giving me.
I have also been in touch with a doctor who has a T replacement clinic in Maine who says he can hook me up with all the right treatment. I am going to see him when I go back in the summer. But until then, I am hoping to discuss the things I am taking with you all and hopefully get some tips from those who know the ins and outs of taking testosterone.
Thanks in advance for any guidance!
Shawn
