I've had a few thing come up that has kept me out of the gym and kitchen regularly for about 3 months now. Once I saw I was only going to be able to lift once or twice a week, I finished up my last cycle and decided to use my trt dose of 125mgs of test a week, coupled with 200mgs of deca. Even with the lack of lifting, I maintained 187lbs the entire time, even adding a few pounds to around 190. I finally have got caught up and am able to train 4 times a week, which I prefer 5. Started this 3 weeks ago and havent changed the doses. Eating has still been pretty clean and calories have kept me up, but in 3 weeks I have went to around 200lbs! This excites me just because I'm almost where my goal was set 3years ago when I was 150lbs, size wise. Body fat is hovering around 12 to 13% (which I like to be at 10 to 12). Goal has always been 205 to 210 at about 10%.
Anyways, long story short, and my reason for posting is, low doses can be very helpful, even for a cycle. Before I did blast and cruise, I could go from 170 to 180 in 10 weeks, then lose almost all the muscle, but replace it with fat when I came off because I kept calories high. So for TRT guys, this is a killer way to maintain and add while "off". I would never recommend it for people with a healthy HPTA. But even cycles for the occasional user, I still will recommend lower doses just because of the success I have had the past 3 months. For instance, 250mgs of testosterone weekly WILL add muscle. It will also make it easier for needle shy first timers to cycle.
I'm not saying I wont use high doses anymore. I will. I just think there are ways to add muscle a little more slowly, which should mean muscle gains should be much more maintainable than adding 20lbs in 12 weeks only to drop cycle and lose alot of the actual muscle.
