  • Brahs, I think I have carpal tunnel syndrome. My fingers are a little bit numb as we speak. It goes numb when driving too. It might be the upright rows thats doing the damage. I may need to take a week off with ibuprofen but I don't know if that will help. Been doing some reading that truckers get CTS from just resting their wrists on the steering wheel. That fucking sucks.

    It started to occur when I would sleep with my hands inside my body, crushing the circulation over night and waking up with dead hands only having to shake it to get circulation back in. I'm going to try to sleep facing up but hopefully my body doesn't unconciously go back to the other sleeping position.

    My recent neck numbness or stretch/pull would explain the recent numbness in the fingers. It may be I'm putting too much pressure on the neck when I use the BB to squat. May be time to stop squatting for awhile and give hack squats a go or something.

    What do brahs?

    I think I pinched a nerve in my neck from doing squats. Will be avoiding squats, upright rows, and deadlifts for awhile. Going to do hack squats instead or something.

    • I have constant carpel tunnel. It's w/e. You'll be ok. Squat low bar across your shoulder blades. Bar shouldn't be up on your neck

          We'll see brah. I did some posing and I think I'm at 12% or 13% at least without drugs.

          A guy who's in pre contest at the moment said for me to do this instead:

          I would do 250mg prop, 350 npp, 350mg tren for the first 8 weeks.
          Last eight weeks, 250mg prop, 350 npp, 700mg tren, 350mg mast.
          At 4 weeks out, add the sdrol and winny.
          At 2 weeks out, drop the prop to 175mg (25mg/day), and don't use it at all the last week before the show.

          What do you guys think?

          • Try it bro. First show is all a learning experience. That's why different divisions. Hopefully be ready for open next year. I'm around 9-10% with no drugs at the moment; but I'm down to 221lbs.

                    Just took some flexirel, a prescribed muscle relaxant I got 2 years ago. And drank 1 beer. Never drink but decided to tonight just to even further relax.

                          Jason, I have been researching around. Here are a few things I found from some users for a pre contest prep drug protocol:

                          - It seems like some guys like to do high test for a few weeks along with maybe deca or npp.
                          - Some guys can't handle tren a for 16 weeks. Some think 8 week is perfect.
                          - William Llewellyn believes that after 10 to 12 weeks, gains come to a very slow crawl

                          I'll be doing the bulk of my research this weekend before I start.
                          I can see high test w/ deca or npp if you're comfy with a longer blast (which I am). If you're good with like a 20 week blast you could do 8 weeks of that and then switch to contest prep drugs at 12 weeks out.

                          Both OTS and I agree 16 weeks is a little long on tren. 10-12 probably good for prep, depending on individual.

                          For what my opinion is worth, I think the water thing with certain AAS is vastly overblown. In my experience, it makes only a small difference. With that said, that small difference can be a big factor when you're standing next to a drier guy in your comp. So it's a thing but it's not a huge thing. I don't think you should overthink it. Just make sure to stop all long-ester test at least 6-8 weeks out, use prop, and drop test altogether about a week out. Don't use any wet orals and make sure to keep estro low. A diuretic will also help. Beyond that, you should be good as long as you are truly very lean.

                          I might only suggest dropping the 350 npp for the last 8 weeks, as your tren is pretty high, but it's up to you. Your body, your prep, etc.

                          Bodybuilding drugs protocols are the real art of the sport, as there are many different methods and different approaches, and no two people respond identically. IMO, that makes it so much fun. Talking to people and learning about their methods and philosophies truly fascinates me.

                          So I would urge you to follow the method that YOU have the most confidence in. You'll be more motivated to follow a plan you feel strongest about. Just make detailed notes about what you do and how you think it works, and of course update us.

                          This. I think you could probably benefit from some stress reduction type of meditation, breathing, etc. Good stuff there. Yoga and Taiji are great as well. I know we're all manly lifters, but fuk it. Lennox Lewis used to practice ballet and he could KTFO us all with his right hand tied behind his back. So I have no shame in admitting that I practice yoga, taiji, and meditative breathing as methods of improving my stress.

                          Additionally, some of these ancillary activities can make you a better poser by improving balance, flexibility, and coordination.

                          Arnold and Franco were training with a ballerina in the opening moments of Pumping Iron, so why not us too?

                          • Had a great back workout tonight but was tired. Maybe hit it too hard and didn't have enough energy. Barely ate any carbs today.

                            I plan on going back to my winter bulk drug protocol but eating very lean to fill out and then either 12 to 10 weeks out, switch to cutting protocol.

                            However, when I did come off my winter bulk blast, It literally took me a few weeks to lose the water weight. I was at 180lbs at my height then and now I'm 173lbs at 13.3% (weighed and measured BF tonight). So I think I'm getting leaner.

                            I'll send you some pics I took Jason. They're on my shitty camera phone that's a phone like from the year 2003 lmao. It's that old.

                            And that drug protocol jason, 700 tren. That was suggested from a guy who's about 6 to 8 weeks out (not sure how close to be exact). I don't plan on doing 700 at all. Too damn high. Will start at 350 to feel it out.

                            I think I can lose the water weight from npp/prop pretty fast.
